The FlutterBy IzzyJane Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to offering hope, comfort, and support to grieving families who have experienced the unimaginable loss of a stillborn baby. Through emotional support and financial assistance, we help families navigate one of life’s most heartbreaking moments.

Our story began with our own loss. As husband and wife, Danny and Molly, we founded the FlutterBy IzzyJane Foundation after the stillbirth of our daughter, IzzyJane. After four years of marriage, we were overjoyed to grow our family and couldn’t wait to meet our baby girl. But at 41 weeks, on the morning of her induction date, our world shattered when we were told there was no heartbeat. What followed was a nightmare — delivering our beautiful, full-term daughter, saying goodbye far too soon, and leaving the hospital with empty arms and the weight of planning a funeral.

In the midst of our grief, we knew we wanted to turn our pain into purpose. We created the FlutterBy IzzyJane Foundation to help other families walking this same heartbreaking path — families who feel lost, alone, and overwhelmed by the financial burden that comes with saying goodbye.

The name FlutterBy IzzyJane was inspired by the way we remember our daughter. Like a butterfly, she touched our world for a brief, beautiful moment before flying away. A quote that has always stayed with us says, “A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam, and for a brief moment, its glory and beauty belong to our world. But then it flies on again, and although we wish it could have stayed, we feel blessed to have seen it.”

Two things brought us comfort in those painful early days:

One was the matching bracelets we wore, engraved with the word Forever.

The other was the generosity of loved ones who helped ease the financial burden of funeral expenses.

Those small but powerful acts of love inspired our mission. Today, we donate matching Forever Bracelets to hospitals for mothers and babies and provide financial assistance to families who have experienced stillbirth.
